Jordan Smith, aka ”Stress” as he is so affectionately called, constantly charms those he comes into contact with. He was raised in a Muslim tradition, and his lyrical flow, swagger, and style is Harlemisque. Producers, Artists and Rappers to name a few bill his services, from the distance lands of Germany and Japan, to Canada, and the Middle East yet he still remains humble. Not your typical Harlemite, slinging, blinging, or banging.
Sress grew up in the upper part of Manhattan, the same place that bred Pink Panther, Cam’ron and the Dipset Crew. Four time winner of various underground battles, he’s creating a name for himself in the underground circuit with his distinct loose-cannon, upbeat, sometimes humorous style combined with years of freestyle battles.
Equipped with his signature hard rhythmic persona and bilingual tongue, he’s managed to release over half a dozen mix tapes under the guidance of high profile mix tape Deejay Green Lantern, between the years of 2006 - 2009. Within that time frame he’s wasted no time setting up his new imprint “The Network”, he’s traveled and performed in Africa, and North and South America. “Imagine being totally embraced by a Spanish speaking country and leaving your mark there. That’s how I felt performing for the 209th Year Celebration in Honduras, along with the Africans that swam from the slave ship" Jordan says. That’s a powerful experience; that is what entertainment is all about!
