Mason Hernandez is a Hip-Hop artist raised all over the east coast. Born in Orlando, Florida in 1992, Mason was accustomed to moving around. Constantly striving to find a place that they could call home, him and his single mother, Lynette Hernandez, finally settled down in Ozone Park, Queens in 2003 when Mason was 11 years old.
Although he always had a love for music, (mostly inspired by RnB artists such as KC & JOJO and Boys II Men) he didn’t decide to put his talent to good use until he started as a freshman in Beach Channel High School. Quickly, he became the the head of the Drumline winning awards from the state. In his junior year in 2009, Mason and his mother suffered a devastating house fire, losing everything. This led to him having to pick up and move again to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He started his senior year there, and through all of the heartache, found a new hobby when he joined the choir in his new school. He was promoted to head vocalist, and realized that the pursuit of a music career was what he was going to dedicate his life to.
Mason is now in his 3rd semester of college, majoring in Audio Engineering. With the help of his manager Jamie Kilkenny, he is one fourth of an independent label, Kilzone ENT. Although he still has a love for singing, Mason realized in the beginning of 2012 that he also had a talent when it came to Hip-Hop. Doing various shows and appearing on a few underground radio stations, he still strives for his ultimate goal of stardom. He released his mixtape on August 28th, 2012, with the name “My Moment”. With shows scheduled for the future, there is nothing stopping him and his group from eventually reaching their goals.
