Oscar Ibe Kemjika - The Run to the Oylmpic Run

My name is Oscar Ibe Kemjika and I am the founder of iBE-FiT. I am a certified personal trainer and Fitness professional. I have also been an athlete almost all my life. I love fashion a lot and have always believed that what we wear goes a long way to identify the way we think about ourselves and the way we are perceived by others. Growing up as an athlete & fan of Marvel & DC comic characters, I've always wanted to get a sense of the that inner superhero and nothing proved more effective than the type of apparel I wore. A Spider-man T-shirt made me feel I could save everyone around me. As I grew older, I created an inner hunger for something of my own creation that could give me the same feeling.

Amidst all my accomplishments in my profession, one of utmost importance to me is making it to representing my country at the Olympics someday. I began this journey a little over 8 years ago and while it has been a long and challenging process, that dream is gradually becoming a reality as I edge closer towards being a part of the 2016 or 2020 Olympics.

At every step of the journey, with the numerous awards in track & field from high school, college and other national competitions, the one thing that has kept me moving to become better at what I do is this reminder that nothing can stop me. And many times, I had to do that by constantly making declarations and statements about what I can do out loud. So no matter what my body was telling me, I would always scream "I CAN DO THIS", "I AM CAPABLE OF BEATING THIS PERSONAL BEST AND NOTHING CAN STOP ME." And that was where the concept of iBE-FiT came about. The idea that these series of bold statements can be made with the apparel we wear or the actions we take on a daily basis.  Tapping into the inner strength empowered by the outer garment that reads "iBE-FiT" was a constant reminder that I have the ability to create, complete, compete & conquer anything! Outward projection stemmed from an inward positive belief has always moved me in the direction of achieving my goals.

Tiana Scott - Animation in Living Color

Tiana Mone’e Scott is a professional Animator from Brooklyn, New York.  She is a recent graduate from The School Of Visual Arts for traditional animation where she learned the steps needed to make an animated film. Tiana has done work for Warner Bros. Animation, Cartoon Network, The Jim Henson's Company, and is continuing her career as a freelance artist and a film maker. Animation always surrounded her and filled her imagination, from the graffiti on the trains, paintings at the Brooklyn Museum and Moma, to the Saturday Morning Cartoons she watched devotedly every weekend.

Tiana has always been drawing and decided on making animation as a career at the age of four years old. She would draw on anything she could get her hands on. She has continued to strive towards art by being constantly influence by the people and art around her. She has done fine arts, murals, stained glass windows, sculptures and photography. Keeping an open mind to different art forms allows for more creativity and a unbiased mind. This medium allows for you to tell any story and Tiana wants to tell the stories that people are to afraid to tell. She wants to tell stories that you can feel and infiltrates your heart and allows you to think beyond the world that has been given to you.

If Tiana could not be in the world of animation, she would have no purpose in life. Animation to her has always been a way for her to escape the problems of the world and allow herself to dive into her sea of imagination, and the imagination of others. The emotions that animation evokes can help heal your heart and at the same time break it, and with a medium that powerful, and a heart like hers, she cannot and will not be anything else in the world but an Animation Artist.

Jamie Kilzone - Leader of the Klizone

I am Jamie Kilkenny, founder, president and manager of Kilzone Ent.  I grew up in Howard Beach, Queens, NY.  As a child of the 80′s & 90′s i was always a fan of music, hip hop and rock alike.  Lyricism is something I value most in hip hop and would love to help bring it back to the genre today.  There are plenty of artists out there with that needing exposure.

The values of what I learned from my father, to earn what you get in life, has a lot to do with my drive to make it in this business.  After throwing a very successful first show, I realized I had the support to kick start Kilzone Ent through promotions.  As I threw more shows I gained more connections with artists, promoters and media personalities.  The ability to make these connections helps me give the boys I manage an opportunity to grow and make it in the industry.

In my ventures of gaining contacts and exposure of my crew I became a regular personality on the DRTYBSMNT Radio Show.  It started with support to get our music played and resulted in a radio segment, “Enter the Kilzone”.  Airing once weekly, its a segment I created allowing registered artists to call in for a one on one bars competition.  Just another step I have taken to get my name known and recognized by artists trying to make it today.

I take pride in knowing my shows are talked about and people look forward to what’s coming next from Kilzone Ent.  We have grown so much in the less than 2 years that we have been grinding, at this point.  It is exhausting balancing my family life, work life, and running my business, but it’s something I wouldn’t trade for the world.  Every call I receive form artists and being able to offer help to them to get their music exposed, as well as what I do with my crew makes me want to work harder.  Kilzone Ent is not just a business to me, it’s a movement.

Asha Hanna - illustrator of Passion

I'm a painter and graphic artist , I am  Asha Hanna. I aspire to be the next "big thing". Born and raised in Brooklyn NY I was surrounded by art everyday. In school and at home art was my life. I must have went through tons of notebooks in grade school. I'm always drawing something. The first time art became serious for me  was in middle school. I attended a art class everyday as a part I my schedule. My art teacher at the time Ms.Fernand always encouraged me to stick to art. I created this piece in art class that I called "the pearl and the rose ". She entered it in this state competition, and I was picked out of hundreds of kids to have there work hung up in this gallery. I remember feeling like I had a sense of purpose after that.  My next two gallery shows were in 2009 and 2010 at Ozzies Cafe in park slope Brooklyn. I was attending Laguardia Arts Highschool, the fame school, at the time and was exploring color and shapes. After I graduated in 2011, I wanted a change in scenery and decided to attend Howard University for college. Little did I know how much of a difference it would be going from a mostly white school to a 90%plus black school. I had never been on my own and never had to really handle anything all by my self. It was hard for a time being and also adjusting to the culture was slightly changelling. However, there were many positives from choosing to attend Howard University. I meet and study under to great painters Alfred smith and Akili Anderson. My now mentor Akili Ron Anderson, A energetic painter who is one of the original members of  Africobra (African commune of bad relevant artists) .The first all African American art group that originated in Chicago. Anderson is a huge influence in my life. His mentor was my cousin ,Buddy Love a renowned musician an artist and now he is my mentor. It was meant to be in a way.i started my org SASH to help support artist. I also was apart of the student show last year for Howard university and will continue to  be apart of that. I look forward to being a inspiration and ally to all artist. We all have to support each other.

Normal Young Man - And there's nothing Normal about this cat

Hi my name is Roger.  I’m an MC/Beatboxer from a small neighborhood in South Brooklyn nobody ever heard of.  I had a good upbringing and was always an outgoing and creative kid.  These were traits instilled in me by my mom who earned a living as a professional clown and entertainer.  My outgoing personality allowed me to succeed in the Edward R. Murrow Gospel Chorus during high school.  This is where I learned to beatbox and freestyle, exploring music.  My mom passed along her bag of tricks when she gave me the family business while I attended college, something I still do to this day, entertaining at children’s parties.

I used these tools to navigate through the diverse city of New York.  My journey led me to the subways where I became part of the Hip Hop Subway Series; a community of beatboxers and rappers who cyphered throughout the city’s transit system.  Through this adventure I met at bunch of interesting characters.  I came across a rapper named Wordspit.  He gave me the opportunity to perform on stage in a cypher at SOB’s, the crowd loved it.  That night I went home and gave myself the name Normal.

I graduated from Kingsborough and made it to the promise land, Brooklyn College, where I started organizing cyphers on campus.  With the help of a DJ called Pete Castles and an enthusiastic African named Rasheed, I started my own on campus radio show called Who’s on Deck.  Through the show I was able to network with different people involved in music.  My talents of beatboxing and freestyling became noticed by many, as they aren’t popular traits of hip hop artists today.  These skills allowed be to make a name for myself without having any recorded music for people to follow.  My beatboxing skills came in handy at a Kilzone show, this is where the manager Jamie Kilkenny showed interest in what I had to offer as an artist.  He invited me to join the crew on some auditions to see if I’d be interested in having further involvement.  I was honored to join the crew and look forward to making music and performing with the guys.  Being part of the movement will allow me to explore myself as an artist and continue to gain the exposure I need to make it in the industry.

Free Mason - Kilzones ENT Secret Wepon

Mason Hernandez is a Hip-Hop artist raised all over the east coast. Born in Orlando, Florida in 1992, Mason was accustomed to moving around. Constantly striving to find a place that they could call home, him and his single mother, Lynette Hernandez, finally settled down in Ozone Park, Queens in 2003 when Mason was 11 years old.

Although he always had a love for music, (mostly inspired by RnB artists such as KC & JOJO and Boys II Men) he didn’t decide to put his talent to good use until he started as a freshman in Beach Channel High School. Quickly, he became the the head of the Drumline winning awards from the state. In his junior year in 2009, Mason and his mother suffered a devastating house fire, losing everything. This led to him having to pick up and move again to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He started his senior year there, and through all of the heartache, found a new hobby when he joined the choir in his new school. He was promoted to head vocalist, and realized that the pursuit of a music career was what he was going to dedicate his life to.

Mason is now in his 3rd semester of college, majoring in Audio Engineering. With the help of his manager Jamie Kilkenny, he is one fourth of an independent label, Kilzone ENT. Although he still has a love for singing, Mason realized in the beginning of 2012 that he also had a talent when it came to Hip-Hop. Doing various shows and appearing on a few underground radio stations, he still strives for his ultimate goal of stardom. He released his mixtape on August 28th, 2012, with the name “My Moment”. With shows scheduled for the future, there is nothing stopping him and his group from eventually reaching their goals.

Ann Hume - Building Juicy Media Group

I used to take life too seriously. Had absolutely NO fun in my 20's and 30's, but now? I'm having the best time in my life!

Juicy Media Group was birthed from the demand of social media promotion requests I received on Twitter mostly from independent artists. What started out as a pastime, turned into a business. I quickly learned the ins and outs of Twitter and Facebook, using tricks of the trade to get desired results and meet clients expectations. Often times they also asked for me give constructive feedback/criticism when asked to "listen".  From the age of 8 to 28, I studied classical piano, dance and acting with Lola Louis Creative & Performing Arts Studio in the Bronx. This training developed my ear for music and an appreciation for the performing arts which allowed me to give tangible advice.

Joining forces with a team of dedicated individuals who believe so much in my vision, transformed Juicy Media Group aka JMG into a multimedia entertainment firm. We are excited to share with the world our select roster of artists and collaborations on various upcoming projects with our network of complementary strategic partnerships which will include music videos, short film, documentaries and reality TV. Our goal is to become a global player, extending not only our reach, but our clients as well. We want to bridge the gap between you and the world.

I can't wait to share all the great things we have in store! Follow the butterfly

Ron Teri - Humble and Forever Learning of Hip Hop

My name is Ron Teri, I am a rapper/producer from Hamilton Beach in Queens, NY. My life is revolved around music, family, work, and sports. I work a 9 to 5 and live with only my mother. I’m a football and hockey fan and play both sports. Growing up I was exposed to all different genres of music the biggest two being rock and hip-hop. My mother and father both loved classic rock so I was listening to bands like Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, etc. My cousins, my sisters and their friends listened to hip-hop such as DMX, Wu-Tang, Biggie, Onyx, Lost Boyz, etc. Both genres caught my interest but my favorite artist growing up listening to it all was DMX. As I grew older I started listening to more rock. The first band I got really attached to was System Of A Down. Soon enough my dad took me out and bought me a full drum kit, guitar, bass, keyboard, and microphones. We set it all up in my basement and he told me to learn them all. I would sit in the basement for most of my day and teach myself every instrument. I started getting more involved with playing and formed a couple of bands. For about 5 years I was in 3 different hardcore bands. I quit my last band and just became a fan of the music for while.

On August 29, 2007 my dad passed away. That moment in my life was crucial and changed who I was. Basically emotionless for awhile I started writing poetry. I would write about how I feel because writing it felt better then saying it. I started rapping them over beats and eventually started creating my own instrumentals on FL Studio. I would use Audacity to record vocals using a rock band microphone. I showed a couple of friends and other students at my college and people started to like it. After graduating college I started going to Infamous Studios to record. It was convenient being that it was around the corner from my job. I did only 4 tracks in that studio and then started to meet new people who also rapped but lived in the neighborhood. I met this kid and we started to work together. He brought me to a studio that was setup in a house. The studio engineer, Trevor a.k.a. Lost, asked me to be apart of his crew Lost Productions after he recorded my first mixtape Born A Legend. I joined his crew and went on to promote my first tape.

After getting a lot of good feedback on my first tape I started working on my second one call Walk With Me Part.1. During the process my brother-in-law, Jamie Kilkenny, approached me with how he felt about my music and we began talking more in depth about performances and the future. As he set-up my release party for my second mixtape he became my manager. Now I am part of a crew and a movement. We are called Kilzone Entertainment, consisting of myself, Mason  & Normal . We are local artists who make real music and are influenced by a number of different artists. When I write I get influenced by listening to artists like Jon Connor, Kendrick Lamar, Nas, Eminem, Big Pun, Slaughterhouse, and a lot more. I like real lyricism and being original when it comes to hip-hop. To me hip-hop is about expressing yourself through rhyming schemes and word plays performed over a beat. As of now I’m just working hard and staying focused.

Black Trackz - From Analog to Digital

Born in Flatbush, Brooklyn NYC, Black Trackz is on a mission to reimagine the classic NY boom-bap into a new world groove.

The 1st record Trackz ever owned was "AJ Scratch" by Kurtis Blow, bought by his sister. This would be the beginning of Black Trackz long love affair with hip hop.

After moving to NYC's notorious East New York, Trackz began writing rhymes and moved in and out of several groups before being introduced to the art of beat-making by producer BPM (Cam'Ron - "Tomorrow"). Eventually a chance run-in with Ruff Ryderz producer, Mr Devine, would offer the opportunity to learn under the Devine's wing. Trackz not only learned how to master the MPC 2000, but picked up the chops of the music business hanging out in the Ruff Ryderz studio.

His grimy soul sound is crafted for and by the streets, but inspired by a collage of noteables such as: Run Dmc, KRS One, Stone Temple Pilots, Earth Wind And Fire, Black Sabbath, & more.

These days you can catch Trackz working on music for the Bronx goon squad Swamp City Music, M.O.P. vet Billy Danze's We Build Hits label, Hand2Hand Ent. and Caktuz's #AMASLife camp.

Production Credits:

Blue Legacy - "Full Clip", "Blue York City","Paperback Bricks", "Magic City"

With a growing cult following and an unmatched new southern sound fused with NY afro-punk, industry insiders begun comparing Caktuz to groundbreaking predecessors such as Outkast & Kanye West.

Punky Blu - Beneath the Color

Punky Blu is a woman who is Free. Social acceptance is not something that she worries about. She does what she wants, wears what she wants, says what she feels and acts how she wants to act. She creates what’s in her world, doing what works for her. Punky is a term used to describe someone who looks and dresses different from what society considers the norm. Blue symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith, truth, and heaven. The combination of the words describes her personality.

Her mission is to inspire others to be and accept who they really are. Her message to the world: “Don’t worry about what everyone else has to say, be you all day. By doing this, you can find self happiness". When people listen to her music she wants them to feel connected to a woman who is real about her life experiences. She doesn't hold anything back and gives as much as possible, singing until her voice is gone, and writing until her fingers are sore. Paper, pen and a mic are her advocates to tell stories about where she's from and what she's been through, hoping her listeners will be able to relate to something she's said.

Punky was born and raised in Park Slope, Brooklyn, which definitely brought forth her "Punky" swagger. The neighborhood was very diverse. They had goths, skateboarders, rockers, rappers, Christians, wiccans, lesbians, gays, owners, renters, dog walkers, cat lovers, you name it they had it and she quickly learned that being yourself was cool and being different made you stand out. Punky's music is a reflection of where she grew up and where she is now.  She is free to be her and she is Punky Blu!

Trixie Matias- From Porn To Radio

Trixie Matias is what we call the definition of Bold And Beautiful. Born April 28, 1982 to teenage parents, life for her started out rough and by the age of 17, she herself had become a single teenage parent and decided to go HAM but in 2001 she did however graduate from Jane Addams Vocational High School with her diploma.

In 2007 she met her match, a young man by the name of Matrixz, and while looking for some excitement for their budding relationship, they reached out to an urban plus size swing community. By the end of the night they left with a smile and a business proposal to do adult modeling. Of course, very hesitant they both thought about it, then thought “Hey Why Not?"

Nearing the end of 2007 they had shot their first scene together. At this point her stage name was Madame Trixie and they had worked collectively on many websites. But all great things must come to an end. There was a lot more work in 2008 for Trixie than Matrixz so by nature, their relationship began to deteriorate and by 2009 Trixie began putting together a master plan, writing everything down, and looking up information in preparation for the right moment to execute.

As fate would have it in 2010, Trixie was asked to do an online radio show interview as “Madame Trixie”. After the interview the host gave her a few words of motivation and a few weeks later he called on her to be the special co-host on, “The Officially Rated Thick Show”. She decided this meant business and took this opportunity very seriously consequently dropping the Madame and leaving her name as Trixie Matias.

In spring of 2011 due to creative differences, Trixie left the show, was on her own, and hungry for more. We fast-forward to the summer of that year when she decided to start STFU Trixie, her own online radio show that talked about everything that was on the public's mind. Unfortunately she began to feel the pressure of doing it by herself, and consequently she decided to pick the camera back up, and turn it on her and Matrixz.

In late fall of 2011, Matrixz didn't want that kind of spotlight anymore, and was ready for her to leave the adult business for good. He wanted her to be his wife, or he was out the door. She felt this was her opportunity to jump out the window and believe in every thing she had written down. She gave him what he wanted, and decided to put the life of an adult star behind her to start building her empire starting with an elaborate wedding. Unbeknownst to her though it was too late!. There was nothing left to save!.

Instead of using this as an excuse to be a pity case, and be depressed, she used this as ammo. She began to put into action everything she thought about. She started believing in the power of herself and dropped everyone around her like bad habits.

Now here we are in 2013 and we see her working at her biggest achievement yet; her radio show “Outta Da Box Radio Show”. It is live every week on Outtadaboxradio.com from 8-10pm and she is joined by seven other jokers, whilst talking taboo topics.

Her life long goal is to be a successful business mogul/unorthodox motivational speaker. She is extremely focused, self driven, and an autodidactic person, teaching herself how to build websites, target markets, and write proposals and business plans. She has been prepped and still preparing herself for whatever opportunity comes her way. She states she will return to school when her schedule clears up enough to do so. Her educational goal is to have a PHD in Philosophy. Her career goal is to own her own radio station.

Jennie directed, choreographed, styled and funded the entire video herself.

Jennie has also received a lot of attention from well known music DJs in the industry who are keen to play her music once released. She has been approached by well known rappers to do collaborations, and is currently in talks to undergo such projects.

The Goose - The Life of Colourful Money

Before he became "theG00$E", Karim Spaulding was anything but the typical native New Yorker.

Born in the Bronx and raised between New York, Kingston and London he developed an early awareness of how identity and design reflected one another. While attending Evander Childs high school Karim and two other friends started a DIY clothing company which they called, "Pretty Boy Productions", in response to the lack of individual style propagated by the 90's "roughneck era". After graduating from (CUNY) Lehman College with a bachelors of science in Economics and a minor in Computer Information Systems (CIS), Karim interned at the now defunct Arista Records then later at Jive records in the marketing department. During this time his passion for entrepreneurship was truly realize.  Seeing all the successful blackmen and women who worked behind the scenes to create a "pop-stars" image, inspired Karim to build his own brand. While working as an accounting clerk for Sesame Workshop, the company responsible for Sesame Street, Karim with the help of his younger brother Casimir, nursed a small graphic t-shirt company, "C O L O U R F U L M O N E Y", into a full fledged Clothing brand.

What had started out as form of expression soon turned into a internationally recognized brand shipping packages from their Harlem, New York & Atlanta, GA studios across the globe to France, Australia, Russia and Japan. Multifaceted Music Artist. Model. Actress. Ex-Ivy League Scientist. Film. Fashion. Flashing lights. Passion.

While most artists focus on grouping their music into a singular identity, mid-western native Gin Doll brings a multifaceted attitude towards her contemporary music. To be an artist, is to be multifaceted, and the bravery is in the comfort of being misunderstood or misconstrued.

Gin Doll is currently working on her album under several producers in New York City, while synergizing with other artists and developing in the entertainment industry as an actress in film, and in modeling. She believes in making a positive difference in the world with avant-garde style and empowering all those who will be there to watch and listen.

Mr. Calushee - 10 years of Hip -Hop Silence

Born on June 22, 1982 in Brownsville, Brooklyn, Antonio "More Better" Davis was born with the odds against him. Only a few minutes after delivery, doctors stated that his heart stopped two times. That's when the miracle happened... and God knew he was destined for greatness. Growing up in Langston Hughes projects with nothing but violence and crime surrounding him he strove to live his life on the straight and narrow. He began rapping in 1999 with great inspiration from artists such as Slick Rick and Special Ed. More Better used this as an outlet from his surroundings. In 2003, just a few days after his birthday.

More Better lost his father to Blood Cancer and heart problems at the early age of 44 in Long Island University Hospital. At that moment he made it his life goal to make it big in the music industry. Just a mere year later in 2004, he was signed to Edosa Entertainment EEI and in 2010, Edosa Entertainment EEI/Universal Music Group. As of 2012, More Better has been releasing videos one after the other and putting out some of the hottest club tracks from street to pop music that you would ever hear on iTunes and across the airwaves, under his Independent label "MBRC. Calsuhee Gang".

His growing "Calushee Gang" (Its A Life Style) movement seems to be hitting the industry by storm, building a name and a brand for himself with his smooth flow resembling some of the greats in the rap game. More Better keeps audiences on their feet, shutting down shows around town and leaving a distinctive paper trail to find him. His aggressive lyrics pack a mean punch that will give a jolt to the rap game that is so desperately needed. He is arguably one of the hardest commercial pop/hip-hop artist there is in the game, and he is determined to make it.

Manifest - Return of the Harlem MC

Manifest is a rare commodity, a powerhouse with artistic and street credibility, making him one of east-coast rap's most distinctive up and coming talents. Using his life experiences as the fuel to spark the flames representing his life struggle, Manifest's hardcore lyrics and aggressive swag captivates, and paints images of the brutal reality of growing up in the streets of New York. He creates rhymes that capture the attention of younger generations in hopes of enforcing the importance of education.

Developing a passion for music from birth, the mix of Reggae, Soca, Jazz and Salsa filled the air of his childhood home. Manifest developed his musical skills when he realised his knack for rhyming and began experimenting with different formulas. Listening to various DJs like DJ Red Alert and Funk Master Flex, helped him hone his MC skills, writing and producing, making music a career.
Manifest joined a group call LNF (Leaders Never Followers), launching the talented teen into the world of underground radio shows, including New York's Night Hawks with DJ Red Bandit. After a short run with LNF, Manifest decided that a solo career would be best for him. Going back to the basics, the MC battled whoever was brave enough to step up. With word spreading through the streets of the linguistic genius, it didn't take long for him to attract the attention of various mixtape DJs. Manifest has collaborated with DJs such as: Don Damarco of Desert Storm, DJ Honda, DJ Scratches, DJ Hurricane, DJ Simonsez, DJ N.O., DJ Cassius Clay and promoter Master Moo. Manifest has also worked with artists such as: Harlem Red, Mysonne, Quess, E Hustle, just to name a few. Soon Manifest came together with DJ Honda, which resulted in the creation of the multi-platinum record featuring the hit songs "The Eclipse" and "We Don't Play". This took Manifest on tour in Japan. Once back in the States, Manifest ran into childhood friend, P. Swagger and Kris Kartel who had similar interests in music. Together they formed the label "Kartel Route- Hostile Takeover".

Punky Blu - When the blood spills it's still Blu

Kia Sleet - The Midwest to The Rotten Apple

In late 2009, Kia Sleet dropped everything and relocated to New York City from the Midwest,  to pursue a career in music. With no job leads and knowing no one in the city, Sleet quickly learned how to survive on the streets of Gotham the hard way. Having to sleep on couches, in hotels, cars, and eat at soup kitchens motivated Sleet to work extra hard to make sure her relocation was not in vain. Writing and producing her own material, Sleet is greatly influenced by artists of yesterday.

She channels the likes of Marvin Gaye (who she considers her idol), The Beatles, Minnie  Riperton, Aretha Franklin, Fleetwood Mac, and Chaka Khan for inspiration. Sleet also enjoys drawing faces, blogging about other independent artists, and giving makeovers.

Mark Knight - A life of wrestling

Kai Storm - Her Storm of Urban Literary

Author Kai Storm, a new face in the Urban Literary world, has brought us shining jewels called Alani’s Bigger Hustle & Alani’s Hustle Gets Bigger. Kai was born in Panama in 1972 and came to New York in 1981 with her mother. She discovered her writing gift as a junior at Boys & Girls High School when an English teacher gave her an assignment to develop a story from just one paragraph and since then, her pen was hot. Through the years, Kai continued to write any and everything not only to keep her gift alive but also for therapeutic reasons, either way her pen and paper kept her sane. In December 2007, Kai was working at a hospital as a temp and even though the assignment was over the first week of December, the hospital kept her on for two more weeks, just so that she would have money for Christmas presents; but there was nothing for her to do during those two weeks, so she decided to pen the first three chapters of Alani’s Bigger Hustle. Only after she submitted the first three chapters did she decide to write the rest of the book “just to see what I would do with it”, and when she pushed this out, it was nothing but fire!

“This story literally lived inside of me since I was 12 years old, it grew up with me and I knew one day it would be out in the world for all to see, it just had too!”

Kai was first signed to a publishing house in August 2008, and because she was so excited about the whole venture, she never fully researched the company and the works they produced; and because Kai had her own personal life issues, she never fully pushed for the book to be released. Once things in her life calmed down, and she was ready to be published in October 2010, she discovered the company was not all ready to put out her book, so through Author to Author connections that she made on Facebook, she found a publishing company that was not only ready, they couldn’t wait to sign her on. This company was Twenty First Street Urban Editing & Publishing, LLC and they along with Kai, brought Alani’s Bigger Hustle to life.

When meeting Kai for the first time, you can see the excitement that she has about her book, the confidence and the great work ethic she exudes is intense, and the best part of all is that it’s genuine to the core. Kai always has promotional information about her book, upcoming book signings and events and anything she is currently working on, and if you are an up and coming author seeking advice, Kai will go above and beyond to provide all the information you need because “If we supported each other more we could rule the world!”

Kai is not only a writer, but also a mom. In 1997 Kai was blessed with her first daughter named Africa, who taught her the real meaning of life and responsibility and the lesson was so overwhelmingly beautiful, that she had another daughter named Agodess in 2009. All in all, Kai is a woman that is thankful for all her blessings and plans to continue writing as long as she can. Her third novel is promising to be a hot thriller; it’s called "You Just Don’t Know", it’s written under the genre erotica kink and the best part of all….Miss Kai Storm will be gracing the cover of her third book! Kai has recently been hired to write inspirational stories for Elation Magazine, a monthly online religious publication and she continues to do book signings and events around the country. On Facebook, Kai is nicknamed “The hardest worker in the business!” and when you meet her you know why, as soon as you see the hat with her book names on it and that smile, you know why!

Kadlice Williams - Ambitious Photography

Kadlice Williams, a young adult from Brooklyn, N.Y. with a new found love and passion for Photography, has made it his responsibility to learn the concept and foundation of photography. He was influenced by his older brother and life as a whole, along with the art of things. A year ago, he was truly blessed with his own equipment, which then lead to him staying up many nights taking hundreds of photographs to expedite, strengthen and increase his skills.

His mission is to bring out a smile with a reflection of self perfection and uniqueness. "The ultimate goal for me, would be to one day own & build an organization to help take young misled teenagers off the street and introduce them to the art of life"...We do hope that his goal comes to fruition in the near future.

He recently created a photography company called Ambitious Photography, where him and his self trained  peers come together and build their brand of Photography for the next generation.

France Jean louis - The Haiti Star

Born to Haitian immigrants, and growing up in the diverse community of Flatbush,  Brooklyn N.Y, HaitiStar  reaches the masses with her soulful influences,  which were before her time, such as Phyllis Hyman and Vesta. She carries a style unlike any other, fusing her Caribbean heritage, with the one of her new home by birth, the United States. While most youngsters were outside playing, Haiti found the love to play mature sounds and finesse her words on paper. She turned her pain into a vocal visual, an art-form using a plain 8" x 11" sheet of paper and a ball point pen.

She writes from a spiritual and alarming standpoint, as well as a world awareness standpoint. Unlike many others, she is able to write music at the drop of a dime, whether it's hooks or stories. This singer/songwriter doesn't stop there, she is an upcoming author and screen writer. I introduce to you, Jean Jolie! Welcome to her world!
